Make a view with only the rooms you want

Good evening to you.

I have a little problem.

Imagine that I am desinating a puzzled ensemble.

When I move on to the drawing , I hide for example certain parts of my overview to make the View more understandable, I can do that.

on the other hand you have to do it at each view (right or from above) it's really tiring....

I know that it is possible to make a right view (for example) of the front view where we have hidden some parts, but how... that is the question!

Thank you for your help.

Hello

Make ded configurations of your assembly, one with all the parts and another with or hide the parts you don't want to see and then you can make your MEP as you want.

ok I see.

I am nevertheless certain that we can make an overall view where we have hidden details.

Good evening

AC Cobra 427 gave you a good answer but personally, I prefer to create a display state for it instead of a new configuration.

For me, configurations are a variation of a part and doing that for an assembly can be risky.

In the new display state, hide the components you want. In your MEP, select the desired display state. If you have sectional, projected, or other views, the default display state is that of the master view (but it is possible to change it ).

It is therefore possible, for example, in the front view to display a view without the components, in the left view to display certain components and so on.

Kind regards.

PS: "ok I see. I am nevertheless certain that we can make an overview where we have hidden details. "

Yes, for a multibody part, it offers to select the bodies when creating the view. For assemblies, it only does this for cross-sectional views.

For me, the best solution is to create different display states for the assemblies.

I agree with both of you.

On the other hand, how can you make the craftsman understand that certain parts will be missing from an overall plan?

he will believe in an oversight. No?

In any case, you must put a complete view with a complete nomenclature.

If parts are hidden in the view, you should add a view if you feel that there may be a problem of understanding.

You can also add a note specifying that parts have been hidden for comprehension reasons.
