do you know if there is a Catia module to open 3D files in .jt format and resave them in Catpart?
Or a free software to turn .jt files into .stp?

Hello not to my knowledge.
A solution if not allergic to the cloud.
Grabcad create a workbench account, download the .jt and then get it back in Step.
