Hello everyone , is it possible to open a .obj file with catia V5?

if so how

Yes, you can open a Wavefront file (*. Obj) on Catia and even use it.

There are two ways to do this:

  • inserting an existing component into an Assembly --> then we have a 3D representation in the environment but we can't do anything with it.
  • Import of the Obj into the IMA (imagine and shape) workshop, we then recover the subdivision surfaces and we can manipulate them.
