You're going to laugh Bart, it's solidworks 2001 at work.

Thank you.

Hello

Why not open the mesh stl directly in Inventor?

might as well take a CX blueprint

Here is one

http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/citroen/4577/view/citroen_cx_break_%281978%29/

you'll be able to have fun working in surface ;-)

there are a maximum of other vehicles of the manufacturer or others with the same ref year diff

See this Pliny and Complex Surface tutorial

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/solidworks-splines-surfaces-complexes

Ideal tools for modeling an imported surface such as a blueprint

whose file posted above

or 2 years younger 1978 yes the other was 76

http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/citroen/4577/view/citroen_cx_break_%281978%29/

or this family station wagon from 1982

http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/citroen/30229/view/citroen_cx_familiale_break_%281982%29/

You have the choice

The blueprints, the tutorial, and your SW 2001 which can also do the trick or you do on Inventor

Good evening and (good surface modeling)

I'd rather not have to start from scratch.

There is really no way to turn it into a volume for Inventor or Solidworks.

Thank you, good evening.

it's really not made for

What do you want to do with it?

it's hyper facetizing not clean at all

even for a 3D print of a 10 cm cart

Hello

This mesh is super clean, full of flat areas, possibility to generate curves to recreate surfaces, for me it is fully exploitable, the sub-meshes are well calculated (see image).

On the other hand, I don't have time this week to stick to it and it's clear that it will take the same time as starting over blueprints.

HS: it's clean, but the modeling is far from fair given the image of @coyote !!!

What is it to do with @christian. C ? If it's not indiscreet!! ;)

Here's your file transformed into a STEP using SpaceClaim.

I want to be able to do the symmetry and have real wheels (the width of the wheels) and powder print it.

And what size do you want to make the piece?

at 1/12 this would be top.

it's still not beautiful

there are still a lot of defects

and it's in surface

Here is a maximum of jobs to do 1/12 correct

knowing that your base part is 65.203 mm

attached file with symmetry

Perfect for symmetry.

On the other hand I can't modify the wheels.

I would like them not to be the full width of the car but to be of normal size.

The same goes for the extra thickness on the hood. See attached photo.

It would be perfect if these changes could be made, thank you very much in advance.

And do you absolutely want an estate, or a sedan can be suitable?
