"Pencil Sketch" Function

Hello

I just discovered a function that I didn't know and I don't have any help on it.

This is the "Pencil Sketch" function

Which can be found in "Tools" / "Sketching Tools".

I didn't really understand how this function works.

Does anyone know it and can explain it to me?

Thank you

I think it's for the tactil screens

via a stylus

Yes @gt22 and Alliende I confirm that it works very well.

It's the best when you use it with another function that allows you to make a piece as if you were making a freehand sketch.

If you also dimension the drawing freehand, then you have your PRT in volume as if you had done it from sketches + volume + material removal.

Look at the end of the link given by @gt22

You also have the possibility to draw with a finger http://help.solidworks.com/2018/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/c_Touch_Tool.htm look here with a demo it's more meaningful

Kind regards

@gt22: Thank you. Is it related to my job?

@Zozo_mp: Thank you. You need a touch screen and a stylus then?

Yes I have the touch function with the computer that I won in the Visiativ  contest ;-) ;-) And for my Christmas I got the Microsoft mouse that you see in the video.

I'm thinking of buying a tablet  https://www.wacom.com/fr-fr/products/pen-displays/wacom-cintiq-pro-32   I would also use it with Corel Painter 2019 that I installed on the HP workstation. Indeed, the screen is a bit small.

To return to SW

You can also take or indicate notes freehand https://www.solidworks.com/fr/feature/3d-markup-great-new-way-collaborate

Thank you for your answers!
