Background map does not follow from one page to another

Hello

I created a drawing series with an associated background map (A4 piece, A3 piece, A4 ASM, A3 ASM)

The problem is when I want to add a new page, the basemap doesn't follow, it takes an old one (which has been deleted)

I tried to edit my basemaps by adding a 2nd page with the right basemap, save, remove the 2nd page, and save again, but the problem remains and it only occurs for the 2nd page, on the 3rd it takes the same as the 1st.

Do you have any ideas?

Hello

Which version of SW?

Where are the basemaps stored? (local, server, epdm, ...)

What method of inserting the sheet?

Kind regards

SW 2016

Basemaps are stored on the server

Personally I add a page via the icon at the bottom left, where there are tabs to go from one page to another, concerning my colleagues I don't know their way of doing it but the problem is present for them too

In the drwdot file, you have to do, in an empty area, right-click/property and assign the basemap (like when you want to change it)

by storing your basemaps on your station

it may work better

I'm not the only one to use this background, we're a whole office, so they're centralized on the server to make sure that everyone uses the same ones and doesn't use them in their own ways

I'm not asking you to tinker with the background plans

simply have a copy on your hard

and doing the test will  already eliminate a problem of the network link of page recovery at the moment T

@gt22, the problem with the internal disk storage of the machine is that even when notified of a modification the drawings do not always update.... so the default choice of CAO admins is to place the reference files on server

I don't ask to store the plan document on the hard of the workstation

but simply the basemaps for testing

to understand why the 2nd page is not the same as the 1st

c all

What difference does it make to have the background model on the workstation

rather than going to the server to get it

It won't change the fact that the plan will be stored on the server

Keep a cool head@Gt22 :D

Gerald, see if on all the pages it is the same background map that is selected???

if you have a PDM, on which your basemap is stored, try to get the latest version!

the basemaps are not stored on the PDM, they are on the server, so they do not have a version

And precisely, when I want to add a page I want it to automatically use the same background as on the first one, not to have to redo the process of changing the background every time I add a page.

I set SW to set my default basemap for it, but it's not the one it takes when I have this problem

2-bullet question:

When you click on the tab to create the new sheet and you have to choose your basemap, you will get your custom basemap by clicking browse?

To avoid having to do this, simply save your custom basemaps in a folder separate from the classic basemaps and add the path to the folder in: system options ==> File location ==> Basemaps

I hadn't seen the history of the servers, sorry.

It also works if you leave the basemaps on this server and add the path to the server in the file locations.

Before adding a sheet, check that the base plan of the first sheet is the correct one (Right-click on the sheet name and then click on the properties).

When you add a sheet, it tries to use the basemap used on the first one, but it's usually an unsaved basemap that is used on the first one

I don't know if it's clear enough

By any chance, you click on add a sheet? Or do you make a copy of the existing one??? At least you'd be sure to have the same background!

Ps: the idea of @Gt22 not making a "shortcut" on your computer was really not stupid, did you try??

Hello

From what I understand, do you have several drawing templates (.drwdot files) stored each with its built-in basemap?

If so, I agree with ludo.mai 's last post when he writes:

"Before adding a sheet, check that the base plan of the first sheet is the correct one (Right-click on the name of the sheet and then click on the properties).

When you add a sheet, it tries to use the background used on the first one but it's usually an unsaved background that is used on the first one."
