I created a drawing series with an associated background map (A4 piece, A3 piece, A4 ASM, A3 ASM)
The problem is when I want to add a new page, the basemap doesn't follow, it takes an old one (which has been deleted)
I tried to edit my basemaps by adding a 2nd page with the right basemap, save, remove the 2nd page, and save again, but the problem remains and it only occurs for the 2nd page, on the 3rd it takes the same as the 1st.
Personally I add a page via the icon at the bottom left, where there are tabs to go from one page to another, concerning my colleagues I don't know their way of doing it but the problem is present for them too
I'm not the only one to use this background, we're a whole office, so they're centralized on the server to make sure that everyone uses the same ones and doesn't use them in their own ways
@gt22, the problem with the internal disk storage of the machine is that even when notified of a modification the drawings do not always update.... so the default choice of CAO admins is to place the reference files on server
the basemaps are not stored on the PDM, they are on the server, so they do not have a version
And precisely, when I want to add a page I want it to automatically use the same background as on the first one, not to have to redo the process of changing the background every time I add a page.
I set SW to set my default basemap for it, but it's not the one it takes when I have this problem
When you click on the tab to create the new sheet and you have to choose your basemap, you will get your custom basemap by clicking browse?
To avoid having to do this, simply save your custom basemaps in a folder separate from the classic basemaps and add the path to the folder in: system options ==> File location ==> Basemaps
It also works if you leave the basemaps on this server and add the path to the server in the file locations.
Before adding a sheet, check that the base plan of the first sheet is the correct one (Right-click on the sheet name and then click on the properties).
When you add a sheet, it tries to use the basemap used on the first one, but it's usually an unsaved basemap that is used on the first one
From what I understand, do you have several drawing templates (.drwdot files) stored each with its built-in basemap?
If so, I agree with ludo.mai 's last post when he writes:
