Hello

I made parts with an xx.PRTDOT template file. Is it possible to retrieve the model of the parts with a yy model. PRTDOT.

Hello

In drawings, it is possible to change the properties by reloading a basemap and its adjustment options, but for parts and assemblies this is not possible (or you have to use the CopyOptions tool from the myCADtools suite).

Hello, If you want to find the 2 configurations in the same part document, it's not possible without redrawing the part! If you want to have the same template or prtdot for the 2 files (the same base): they give 2 solutions here: https://forum.solidworks.com/message/390087 By inserting a part in a new document or with a macro.

 

Otherwise, you can indeed go through CopyOptions, which costs only 20 euros minus a cent on Lynkoa:
