Managing part names during IGES export

Hello

 

I have an assembly (3 parts) to export to IGES, and I want to manage the names of the parts.

When importing, I want to retrieve the names indicated and not MSBR-1, MSBR-2, MSBR-3 as currently.

 

How to do it?

First of all, what software do you use?

I just did it on Solidworks and when I register, my parts take the name I gave them, the same when I import the part.

So register your 3 pieces separately in IGES with the common marker and then send them to your customer, he will just have to re-assemble the 3 pieces by default.

It's a solution, but since it's for implementation afterwards, I prefer to leave the names automatically generated.
