Managing options in an assembly?

Hello

We are in the process of migrating from Pro-Eng to SLDW.

We managed the options of our industrial washers through programming. (1 doors, 2 doors, steam heating, electric heating, etc....)

Are there more or less advisable working methods to carry out this same work on SLDW?

Configurations are one of the solutions I guess. However, we also have an EDPDM that does not manage the version of the configurations, which bothers us.

So I only see for the moment the solution of duplicating all my assemblies with the different options?

I can see that the question is very open, but I need to start.

Hello

The parts families can really be useful, but no version either:

Otherwise, you have to explore the DriWorksXpress track which is free:

A DriveWork representative is present on Lynkoa.

    Hello Sébastien.

As .PL explained perfectly, what you're asking for is the perfect candidate for DriveWorks technology.

Take a look at the videos that explain how the software works and what the concept is.

Basically, you capture the elements you want to drive, you design a form for a user to fill out, then a set of rules that link the form to your templates and you're done.

If you would like more information, do not hesitate to contact me or ask your SOLIDWORKS reseller who is able to present our technology to you as well. We have 3 softwares, DriveWorks Xpress, DriveWorks Solo and DriveWorks Pro.

DriveWorks Xpress is free and already included in SOLIDWORKS.

DriveWorks Solo and DriveWorks Pro take automation a step further, allowing you to export your configurators for online use for example.

    Sincerely,

    Thomas
