Component versioning in an assembly with PDM

Hi all

 

My problem is the following:

I manage assemblies with revisions under solidworks & PDM. These revised assemblies (e.g. revision A) consist of sub-assemblies or components with their own revision or version (e.g. version 7/8). These component indices and revisions should be frozen in their reference version when the assembly is overhauled. This is not the case and I do not know how to do it.

I have access to PDM administration.

I can't find any info on this problem. Thank you for enlightening me!

Hello

If I understand the problem correctly, this is managed in the settings of groups or users.

You probably need to have options checked that by default you get the latest file versions rather than the as-saved versions.
