Hello
Being a large number of SW2012 users on a restricted set of licenses, I would like to know if it is possible to automatically recover the licenses after a certain time of non-use of the software or inactivity (as is the case for EPDM)?
Thank you

From memory, this is not possible. (Are you in a floating license?)
I also don't think that's possible with EPDM.

Hello
If you have the floating license system, maybe with the network license manager system
See attached image.
On the other hand, as I have never used the system, I can't tell you how the server manages the borrowing system

We are in floating licenses with staff spread over several poles.
Under EPDM, it's very effective here and it works quite well.

Hello
I also think that this is not possible
On the other hand, it is possible to disconnect someone by an action from the license server, provided you know who to disconnect
It is also possible, if my memory serves me correctly, to limit the use of licenses to a group of people

Hello
I've never tested it but it's planned in SolidWorks:
http://help.solidworks.com/2014/french/Installation/install_guide/t_monitoriing_license_idle_time.htm
In the SolidNetwork License Manager installation directory, create a text file: "Dossier installation Gestionnaire licences SolidNetWork \Licenses\sw_d.opt"
Add the following line to the file: TIMEOUTALL secondes
Replace secondes with a number greater than or equal to 900 (15 minutes), which is the minimum time allowed.

Finally, our SW supplier tells us that this is not possible.
Maybe a new area for improvement...
Too bad.
Thank you for your answers,

The solution I proposed didn't work?
However, this is all that is official, it is planned in SolidWorks!
