Gravure solidwork a draftsight

Hello

I draw an engraving on solidworks with the name MARK so that during the CUTTING it will transfer to engraving on draftsight but it does not transfer to this one, do you have an idea of what is happening or pkoi it does not follow? The DXF is done but not the engraving.

Thank you for your help

Hello Melysa

Could you

  1. remind us of your SW version number.
  2. how do you do your engraving in Solidworks (with which tool)
  3. Is MARK the name you engrave or is it something else altogether (Mark don't talk to me ;-)    )

Kind regards

SOLIDWORKS 2019 SP2

I don't engrave it in the room, I only make a sketch and I give it the name MARK instead of sketch (like the file of my predecessor in this position) with whom this process worked.

if I engrave the plasmas may cut it off completely, right?? And pkoi and how did the previous designer manage to make just a sketch go to the DXF to be engraved?

Hello

So that the machines recognize that it is engraving; you have to give the yellow color to what you want to engrave in the DXF.

Good evening

Well, what about !!

AC COBRA 427 you start the week strong with your foot on the floor or rather with your foot on the floor:  you had to know that one ;-) ;-) ;-)

Kind regards

Thank you zozo_mp but if I wasn't in the business I would never have known ;-)

Thank you for the little advice,

I discovered that SolidXpert no longer had its configuration so I didn't apply the color layers in Draftsight without any recognition of the layers and the type of cut to be produced on the plasmas. I had to apply manually until the standard settings were retrieved.

But you were able to put me on the track, thank you!!
