Linear Guidance

Hello

I study the different translation guidance systems and the many suppliers that exist: SKF, INA Schaeffler, HepcoMotion, ITEM, Igus, Gimatic, ...

Which ones do you usually use, which models (rollers, marbles, etc.)   And what are the advantages/disadvantages?

Thank you

I would add that the environment also plays a role, we are in the food business, so we heat limited rooms and are required to have food certificates.

Have a good weekend!

The idea is to know what you are using and what your experience is on the subject.

- SKF and INA are kif-kif;
- ITEM, it's an adaptation of SKF/INA at first glance;
- IGUS, it's nice (no maintenance, no grease), theoretically as strong as SKF/INA.
- HEPCO, I like the EV rail system.

Between balls and rollers, it is the load capacity that will be decisive.

Because of our activity (subcontracting), it is often our customer who imposes the brand on us.

Others are also on the market, but be careful with IGUS of the play of the smooth bushings and their friction which can cause a buttress of the guide if proportions are not respected.

Hepco has the advantage of resisting in polluted environments and also offering INA type ball guides, at a lower price.
