Property inheritance PDM file

Hello

when I copy and paste a file (outside PDM) on the PDM  I would like it to inherit the properties of the folder (project name, project number, etc...)

Do you know how to do it?

Thanks in advance

What happens when you display the data map of your file that you just put in the EPDM?

In the "folder" I have everything filled in, but the files that are in the folder I am missing "project name" and I would like it to steal the property from the folder where it is located.

Hello

All you have to do is define the "Folder card variable" field in the map editor and define which attribute you are retrieving.

Hello, Does the config @ have the same problem?

Are the pdm properties the same as the file, or does it exist in this file?

"gerald-FCA": Yes the config@ has the same problem.

"Prossignol" works for files created in the PDM but not for a file created outside PDM

Hello

The same thing happens when you copy an element (CTRL C - CTRL V) from one project to another, the copy file keeps the values of the folder from which it was created.

The solution is to update the file values in the file's data map.

To do this, you need:
1 - the files you want to update either Extract.
2 - the data card of the file is filled in (put dashes or "spaces" in the lines you want empty)
3 - Select the folder then go to:  Edit/ Update/Update value in files
4 - Step 1 do next directly, then follow the other steps
