I downloaded Inventor 2014 a few years ago in student version. I'm working on an assembly and when I want to insert links I miss all the standard ones except "spatial" all the others are there. I'll leave you a screen to judge for yourself 
And if you click on the drop-down menu where there is marked spacial link
you can't find the other connections?
Yet we can see x constraints in your tree
The space connection is generally if I understood correctly used for the first fixing of the first part in an assembly
But I'm not an inventor specialist

In the menu I find all the other links except the standard one, yet you can find some in my trees. But it was not I who placed them, it was the one already inculcated in the system.
