Checks the units for the part or assembly and also for the MEP.
Otherwise maybe in the dwg export options but in the 2016 version I don't have anything like that.
Otherwise you import the dwg/dxf into which software? Wouldn't it be the option or the standard plan in which you import your dwg that would be in inch?
Hello, when you make file open with Solid, it asks you how you want to open the file. Then it opens a second window in which at the top left you have "Imported Data Units!"
To see if the DWG is in mm or inches, you can open it in eDrawing and take a measurement. For my part, a DWG file in mm made on Autocad is found in inches when I open it in eDrawing while another DWG file in mm made by SW is found in mm when I open it in eDrawing. The import of the file from Autocad is done in inches by default in SW while the one from SW is done in mm by default, complicated all that!!
Do you change other values when importing your DWG files into SW, such as format and scale for example?
If you can't find the option that allows you to force the insertion of a dwg in mm in Solidworks then there is the macro solution that allows you to do it. Here is a small example of a macro that should systematically import your dwg in mm and also center your dwg on the sheet.
