Import *.step

Hello

When importing a *.step file I get this message for each body creation "the body does not have a valid visualization cube"
Can anyone help me?

thank you in advance

Hello;

Which version of Solidworks?
Are bodies still imported Before I see this error message?
Is the 3D interconnect option enabled? (Option / Import)

To check too (but here I'm not at all sure, but these are the only references to the visualization cube I found in Solidworks 2022...)
In the document options: Welded construction, what are your settings?

Hello @Maclane

2023
bodies are not imported
Interconnect enabled
and the regalges on the visualization cube identical to the screenshoot above.

… I'll start by disabling the 3D interconnect...
then do an import test again.

Then I wonder about the file type *. Step.
Normally you should be able to edit the Step in the Windows bocNote (or better with Notepad++).
=> In the first lines should appear the type of the Step as well as the Name of the software from which it is extracted. (this often gives clues about the quality of the export...).

Then, as the import has already been done, a small file named " theFileNameStep.err " had to be created. This file, too, can be edited with notepad to have a more precise idea of the failed entities...

Don't you have in your welded construction part template to insert by default in your Templates?

Also check your options, test by unchecking one of the two boxes.

When importing the STEP into a room and all the bodies, is processed by a visualization cube. You delete it directly via the bodies folder
