how in a word, to have the variables of EPDM

we are now going to manage our Word documents in the EPDM database and we would like to have in this document display variables from EPDM (revision, article code etc.)

I think with the fields but I can't find the solution

on the other hand on a dotx, impossible to have my variables

Is there an impossibility because it is a dotx (I looked at my extensions in my variables and OK)
