Import and Edit an .stl File in Inventor

Hello

I would like to know (if possible) how to modify a .slt file in Inventor?

I have a .stl part that I import into Inventor, I save it in .ipt but only here I can't modify it because Inventor tells me it has no volume, nor measure it and I also can't put it in a drawing.

Any idea?

This is a recurring question about our software... with solidworks there is the mesh, the 3D scan, etc but what I do is that I go through Bender to transform it back into a step and then give volume to the surface after importing.

Hello, if you have a maintenance contract with Inventor there is a plug-in available, the link: . https://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/INVNTOR/fr/Detail/Index?id=appstore.exchange.autodesk.com%3Ameshenabler%3Aen
Otherwise to convert it to a step see this link: . http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/3d/transformer-un-fichier-stl-en-step
