Bulk printing of plans

How to print all the drawings of parts belonging to a general assembly.

Knowing that this assembly will look for parts in different files at different places on the network.

Hello

The MyCAd BatchConverter utility: http://www.lynkoa.com/store/mycadfr/mycadtools/videos-tools/utilitaires-batchconverter.html

See you.

To print in bulk it's more like powerprint.

Batchconverter will convert the files.

Agree with opiep27: use PowerPrint.

Select the Dependencies checkbox; Select your assembly; clicks the button to insert the drawings; configures printers, formats... Print and you're done!

From which PowerPrint version? I'm interested in that too.

I'm on SW 2010 and I had used the Task Scheduler. I only used it once, I had printed more pages than expected but by digging a little bit there must be a way to get just what I need.

I'm in SW 2014

Sorry, I don't remember how PowerPrint looked in SW 2010.

Was there already the Dependencies box (Essential for you since the files are distributed in different places)?

I'll let you check...

Hello

I would like to ask an additional question on your question, can utilities recognize changes in formats (A3, A2, A4) within the same file to be printed, as well as vertical and horizontal. very important.

Thank you.

Hello

A practical solution when the plans are in different folders: make a composition to take with you in a temporary folder that you then delete.

Then, either select the plans by sorting by type in Windows, then right-click print, or use the job scheduler to print the plans in that folder.

Hello

I thought "Print to PDF" so BatchConverter.

As far as PowerPrint is concerned, here is all the information about its use: http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/utilitaires-powerprint

See you.

@fred, yes Power Print recognizes formats and sends the right plans to the right printer and in the right format and takes into account the portrait landscape orientation.

A real pleasure to print plans in bulk!!

Hello

Why not use a macro?

With File > Layout

Personally I made a macro where we choose a folder, to convert all the MEPs in this folder into pdf and print in 1 click. I set it up as I wanted, after all is possible...

When you use "dependency" in PowerPrint, what do you choose in filters?

I want it to select all the drawings of the parts in an assembly

Well, it's true I use PowerPrint a lot, but not necessarily by activating all these functions :-(

So, for the filters, check the 3 types of SW parts.

Select the Dependencies checkbox and choose your assembly.

All your pieces are inserted.

Then (and this is where it didn't go the way I thought) click on Insert Drawings. The software asks you in which folder you want to look for the drawings. You can also by clicking on option, ask him to search in the parts folder or in a particular folder.

The drawings are inserted.

In the filters, uncheck Part and Assembly, leaving only the drawings.
