Insert photo on 3d model

Hello

I'm with a 2015 version of solidworks and I'm looking to insert a photo on a 3d object that I've already created, I saw that for a 2d format I can go to tools-> sketch tool-> sketch image but it doesn't seem to work for a 3d model

Is it a mishandling of the tool on my part or is it another tool that I should use?

This is to insert a photo on a flat surface of the model.
