Part-to-Room Insertion: Configurations?

Hello

 

I would like to insert a part (screws) into another part (frame).

On the other hand, when I insert it I don't have access to the configurations from the part family (SW 2011). I want an M12, and by default it puts me something else and I can't choose.

I have to open my part, choose the configuration, then go back to the frame to do "Insert > Part" and position it as I want.

Is this the only solution?

In the inserted part (screw in your example), you have to "list the external references" to have access to the configurations.

Hello

A question had already been asked (http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/cao/selectionner-configuration-mode-insertion-piece) and as this is a question that comes up again I wrote an article that will be published this week on www.mycadblog.fr/.
