Embedding an image in a DWG

I'd like to know if there's a way to embed an image in a DWG (unrelated to an external image)

I work with Draftsight

You actually have to do: insert > object > paintbrush image and paste the image into the paint window that appears! And there you have it, no external file. Good night.
