Interaction between two permanent magnets with EMSWORKS

Hello

I've been struggling for hours trying to simulate the movement between two neodymium magnets (one fixed and one mobile) and I finally have the impression that EMSWORKS is not designed for that and that only a solenoid could make this famous magnet move???

I've seen several videos with solenoids that move, it's annoying not to know how to do it if it's possible with two magnets...

I try to evaluate the maximum distance between these two magnets in order to have a sufficient force of attraction.

Thanks in advance

Hi @bentsh64

the forces of attraction are from 0 to X depending on the material quality of the magnet and its mass

following my physical test readings

without a change in mass, if no attraction at a distance X, nothing will move

If the mass is modified by the addition of metallic matter, the forces will change

Here is already something to eat

Hi gt22

for the moment I use the Supermagnet or Femm site (which I reinstalled and which gives me inconsistent figures whereas before yes ??? I must have messed up somewhere) but for my project it would be much more practical if EMS managed it directly on my 3D model

EMS integrates Neodymium style permanent magnets so I don't see why we couldn't make two magnets interact instead of one magnet and a coil like for solenoids???
