Like @gt22 :D raftsight. The interface is similar to AutoCAD light and can record in dxf or dwg.

You can download the educational version of Autocad and the entire Autodesk range:
http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software
A valid email address is sufficient.
The only restriction of its educational versions (which should not be used professionally) is that when a document is printed, a text appears specifying that it is an educational version.
On the other hand, the 2010 version is obsolete.

Ham03, if the goal is to make 3D, Drafsight will not meet the demand.
Otherwise, you have to take Drafisght which works quite well. As someone who switched from Autocad to Drafsight, I'm not lost. I use the Autocad command set (keyboard) and especially the English commands. Drafsight has a table for concersion of commands "Autocad" -> "Drafsight. It's free and legal: and compatible with Autocad.

If I remember correctly, you can download autocad pro and use it for 30 days for free.
If not, it is possible to get autocad student and use it for free without professional ambitions.
On the other hand, for autocad student version you will certainly need a proof.

Yes you can download AutoCad but 2013 for free on the autodesk website for a 30-day trial version, as well as the online tutorial. Then it pays off.
