To help you, take a screenshot with the room and especially the feature manager. So that we can see how you proceeded.
Have you made a vertical cut between the base and the top of your rolled sheet metal in the shape of an ellipse (between the two sketches)?
It's a great classic if no cutting, no flattening possible. Like a woman's bracelet ;-)
