I want to write a macro that automatically creates a tube function

Hello, the goal, is from a sketch (skeleton made of lines), to build a tubular chassis.

I wish the sketch was present on the screen but not active

1) Preselect 1 line and 1 point, by graphic selection and launch the macro.

The macro must then create the plan, use a predefined sketch in the macro, the user enters the important dimensions, the macro creates the revol

or 2) it is the macro that asks the user to select the line and the point by graphic selection

I achieve a certain result by memorizing the actions in a macro and modifying the macro with each build,

My question to start with would be how to recall in the macro the line and the preset point

The cross-section and thickness are defined according to the sketch??? Will the macro need to have a function to choose the sketch???

Via this welded construction it's exactly the same principle

You create your sketch which gives a wireframe of your construction 

You select lines assign them a NE profile sketch via your personal preference library

and regulates the connections to the nodes of these dis-tubes

Good lour and thank you for your interest,

For "cobra": the sketch  of a rectangle is integrated into the macro, the dimensions are requested during the macro.

I know how to do that, but how do I get the name of the pre-selected point and line ?

There is less creativity, but in the meantime I will test what "gt22" offers

Thanks to gt 22,  the welded construction meets 100% my need.

For other macros, I still need to retrieve the names of the pre-selected elements in the sketch.

I'm going to do another specific tutorial.

No, not at all!!! For the pts.... For my part, I asked a question for the macro and I didn't give myself the pts in any way and moreover it should have been the questioner who should have had the -1s because my question doesn't solve his problem in any way. If I had answered anything I would have understood; but there it was just a question to better understand her need.... And the worst thing is that the one who validated me puts me -1.....
