I am looking for color code chart application for machining, in the mold industry and special machines

German mold manufacturers have created a VDWF standard, for the assignment of colors according to machining tolerances. RGB codes

I am looking for examples of application in SW of this principle

Hello

I do not provide an answer to your question, but I find the principle very interesting. I'm going to look on my own to eventually offer it in my company.

Thank you

Hello
We have also implemented an approach of this type under CATIA for the production of injection tools.
I can't distribute internal documents but on the principle:
Six types of surfaces are identified by a colour.
        Closure
        Tight parts
        Quality
        Others (JS10, js10)
        Tapping (Modeling to drilling diameter).
        Changes

Before implementation , it is necessary to carry out tests on the recovery of colors by third-party software(s) via direct interfaces or exchange formats such as STEP.

There may be loss depending on whether the color is applied, on the body of the part, on the function, on the surface (a particular point to check the repetitions and symmetries).

Thank you, that's kind of the meaning of our work/approach.

For the moment the exchanges via STEP, are correct

thank you for the controls  on the symmetry and repetition side
