on my PC, when I record a 3D video in AVI (in motion study) it doesn't start when playing even with DLC.
Indeed, the image remains frozen as if it were an image and the progress bar of the video scrolls all the same... (see file ci_joint)

It's been a long time since I gave up using video generation with SW and Motion because videos are crappy.
Try a freeware like screenpresso free but with Screepresso indication at the end of the video (that you can buy it for less than 20 euros and you have no more ads)
