Solidworks Floating License

Hello, the method department has 5 dedicated licenses for CAD workstations. The design department is working on Catia V5 and V4. We encounter difficulties during conversions which is already my first problem but I will post this point outside. My question is that I would like to switch the workstations to floating licenses in order to do installations on the BE workstations. The question is how to proceed, I don't know solidworks very well. Does this have an additional cost. Thank you for your help

If your licenses are currently fixed licenses, it is quite possible to pass them to a floating license manager, on the other hand there is indeed an additional cost.

For this reason, I encourage you to contact your Solidworks reseller

Hello

Be careful with the management of floating licenses....

A substation not connected to the network must connect every 3 months to take over a license...

A substation not connected to the network cannot take a license....

It may be "silly" but these constraints can pose major logistical problems.

Hello

With floating licenses you can work on solidworks even if you are not

not connected to the networks, for this you have to do a temporary license import in the license manager.

FYI: the license fingerprint (to work off-network) is by default limited to a duration of 30 days
