Hello

I would like to know if the floating licenses on the license server are automatically returned each time a CATIA session is closed or does it remain activated on the workstation concerned? And for how long?

I hope I'm not wrong in answering you but I believe that the floating licenses are returned each time they close. To be confirmed but for me that's it.

Yes for the basic CATIA license (e.g. MD2 type).

For CATIA add-ons (such as GSD, ST1, etc.) there are two ways to take the Tools / Options / General licenses:

  1. Shareable product management (returned manually or at closing)
  2. License management (returned only manually, not at closing)
