Link properties to an excel file

Hello

I would like to know if there is a possibility to link the properties of a solidworks part with an excel file?

Let me explain, I have an excel file with some elements that I would like to put in the properties on the one hand. Currently I enter everything by hand, which I don't like because it's a waste of time (even copying and pasting). For example in the excel file I have the name of the product and I also fill it in the properties of my part. Would there be a macro capable of copying the excel file and pasting it into the properties of the part? Or do you have an idea of the code to do it?

Thank you

Look at pilotAssembly if it suits you:

Or else do the opposite (fill in solidworks and export to Excel (with smartbom)

Otherwise you'll have to code but if you have no or little knowledge of coding it may be very difficult, hence the proposals with the MyCadtools utility to which you have access (With myCADservices)

Hello

A tips and tricks article is available in the help on this subject:

Hello;

I found some macros:
Here: https://www.codestack.net.../excel-functions/
And then: https://www.reddit.com/.../free_macro_to_manage_solidworks_custom_properties/
Please note that these two examples (not tested) require a license for "Document Manager" to be claimed on the Solidworks website (or through your Solid reseller)

Kind regards

Thank you, I'll look into it.

Have a nice day

Kind regards
