Free CAD software or small investment

Hi all!

It's been a long time since I've been here, :)! For good reason, career change! It's my turn to embark on the adventure of entrepreneurship!

So I unfortunately lost the joy of using my dear (and dear) SolidWorks 2016... I am currently in the process of creating a company (I don't have the legal status yet so I don't have the professional status), I would however like to use a CAD software to communicate about my creation project (I tested the drawing board but I am of this new generation who has used 3D CAD since high school and I admit that I am more comfortable with...) and to design with it.

The project has about fifty parts, some parts will be in motion but very simply (1 rotation, 2 translations), if I can also do some drawings it would be great! And if the software can run on a "home" computer (less than 4GB of RAM) it would be great! My budget is between 0 and 100 euros (we'll see about the investment during the rest of the project).

It's a subject that comes up regularly, but with technological advances, I prefer to ask the question again!

Thank you,

Aurélien

Hello:

Too bad for Onshape (I just checked) my projects are always Private but indeed if I want to create a new one it is necessarily "Public"??

TO BE CONTINUED!!

@Aurélien S.: Not on a pro version of OnShape, I think. It is about 100€/month. You can have a trial version for 21 days.

Hello

There's DESIGNSPARK by Radiospares.

It seems similar to Solidworks but can't say more because I've never tested it...

Thank you all for your answers!

So here is where I am for the moment:

- OnShape looks cool but impossible to do private projects for free, you would have to pay 100euros per month and for the moment I would just like to make some plans but I keep the idea in the back of my mind.

- FreeCAD (free) doesn't do assembly yet (well if via another software but it doesn't inspire me)

- DESIGNPARK, doesn't mean anything to me honestly but thanks for the info

- So I'm hesitating between CREO and MEDUSA which have the "same" operation. The software is free but does not have all the features. But MEDUSA attracts me a little more because you only have to pay if you want to make PDF releases, etc... which will be great once my project has progressed!

So I'm going to try MEDUSA and I'll get back to you;)
