ZW3D CAD Software

Hello

I want to buy a volumetric and surface 3D design software, to use it professionally, I have been trying for several days ZW3D ( http://www.zw3d.fr/ ), it seems to me to be at the level of soldiwork and inventor !

I would like to know if any of you use, or have already used, this software, to get your feedback!

For now, I'm pretty convinced of my try.

Thank you for your answers.

I don't know.

A follow-up question is:

What interaction will you have with your customers (file exchange in particular)?

Hello Stefbeno,

The intercations with my clts/frs will be as you say exchanges of files, creation or reception of plans and possible return to subcontractors ...

I checked that ZW3D accepts the main formats (as you can see with this link: http://www.zw3d.fr/zw3d/zw3d_2014.asp ).

I tried to open a catia V5 file, there was no problem.

Love

From experience, software that claims to be able to process (open, modify) its competitors' files is often optimistic.

Personally, I would do in-depth tests with different types of files.

The savings on the price of the license are noticeable but will quickly be lost if you have to spend time reworking the files too often.

and export? because ok we can open the files but to send some to the supplier? What are the recording and export formats?

Hello

I do tests with my clts/frs, in import and export, to check the compatibilities (especially with catia and inventor. so to be continued, I don't want to repair the files too much!

ZW3D, import and export the main formats: Catia, Iges, Step, Stl, Pdf, Dwg/Dxf ... I'll spare you the rest of the list

I have tested the 3D PDFs of ZW3D, it works and the manipulation is possible!

This is file types is not bad for presenting to clients.

I continued my attempt.

Hello

As I asked in my 1st question, have people used or tried  ZW3D, preferably people who do CAD regularly.

Can you try it too and give me your opinion!

Hello

I am a user of ZW3D, it suits me for my creations of mechanical parts, I use the Lite version, it's enough if you don't bend sheet metal.

I've never had any big bad surprises with ZW3D, it deserves to be known; It's good value for money!

I have the option to make an official license assignment with autodesk.

At your disposal.

Hello

You finally bought the license?

Are you satisfied with it?
