I'm looking for a professional CAD software that is not too expensive, if anyone has any advice I'm interested. It would be to make parts, drawings and small assemblies. You don't necessarily need a gas plant like Catia.
The cheapest I know is Creo modeling express (see http://www.ptcfrance.com/cad/elements-direct/modeling/express) because it's free but in English and limited to 60 parts per assembly and it's not a "parametric", it really depends on the use you want to make of it.
I create a micro-company to respond to online calls for tenders, so it all depends on what the client requires. If I feel that CAD is too much of a problem, I will fall back on development.
Or at worst if you have Solidworks in the dump and if you are under maintenance; You can always still ask for your boss if you can use the previous version at home because the licenses are still active if I'm not mistaken!
