Hello, here I come to ask for your help because I am running into a problem.
I would like to know how to hammer on the surface of a part as in the photo?
I tried using the solidworks freeform tool but it takes a lot of time and doesn't give the expected result in the end.
Do you have an idea of a more powerful software to do this kind of thing?
Is there a technique in solidworks to give this kind of results: I specify that this part must be machined so I have to do a step of the finished part if ever.
Thank you for your help.

Hello Franck ;-)
I thought about this solution but if I look at the image it's not hammering in the usual sense of the word. Because the deformations are not all the same size because some are much deeper and wider than others.
We can try with the textures but you will have all the equivalent depths (relatively unified if you prefer) which does not seem to me to correspond to the artistic work we see in the photo.
Kind regards
