At almost 10 years old, Lynkoa has crossed time and design universes.
The platform has seen more than 90,000 members: CAD enthusiasts, students and industry professionals meet every day to find answers to their questions.
Mutual aid then became the watchword of the Lynkoa community.
And because your job and your daily life are constantly evolving, Lynkoa will reinvent itself to support you in the best possible way.
Isn't it daring to launch it in October (a busy period in companies) rather than during the summer (I imagine that there are also holidays for developers) with a gradual ramp-up?
October is also the time of events, launches, new products (of 2023), it's when everything falls into place! Don't panic, you won't be able to miss this change;)
@Coralie: I wasn't thinking about missing it but rather about the inevitable bugs inherent in computer evolutions despite all the confidence I have in the team
I'm posting this message to make a suggestion for improving the forum that could definitely address this recurring compatibility problem of SW file versions that prevents members from being able to open shared files and therefore potentially help them.
A BUILT-IN VIEWER!
With a built-in viewer in the forum that would open by clicking on an attached file such as SLDPRT and SLDASM, anyone could view a model and thus evaluate it, even if they have a version of Solidworks older than the version of the file. With, of course, always the possibility of downloading it.
A viewer like the one generated by an html export via eDrawings would be very good (see attached file).
I believe that this would be a REAL step forward in Lynkoa's history.
And I see that I come back to Solidworks right when Lynkoa evolves ... if that's not a sign of destiny! (and so, hello to the elders who will recognize me :) )
