Macro deactivate your solidworks license

Hello

I had been on a floating license for several years but with Solidworks 2021 this is no longer possible. I am often teleworking with covid but I have to go to work 2 times a week which forces me to activate and then deactivate my license each time.

Do you know if it is possible to create a macro that deactivates the solidworks license and closes solidworks?

I'm not asser in macro to know if this is possible or not.

Thank you and have a good day

Hello @alexandreleroux18

Regardless of activation, this means that both computers remain on and that your company allows open access (unless intranet).

This also means that you have to be able to restart the Solidworks from anywhere on either post.
Make a truth table (like Karnaugh) to identify all the cases  ;-)

Who says computer open in H24 = treat for hackers armed with their ransomware,  or to even turn your post into a zombie invisible to you, especially since most computers at home are very vulnerable and easily accessible via a back door.

Kind regards

If it's just to return the license before leaving,  the license management is usually done from SolidNetWork license manager and not from Solidworks so in my opinion not feasible. (depending on the license management method chosen)

Why not ask your dealer, he will be able to advise you on the easiest way to proceed.

Otherwise if it's remotely because you forgot to return the license, Teamviewer, anydesk or other allows you depending on the rights of your company to connect remotely the time to return the license, with effectively an open door, more or less secure depending on the password and the flaws possibly exploitable or not.

Hello @sbadenis

Can you tell us more about ""SolidNetWork licence manager"", my favorite VAR didn't tell me about it.

Just by the way with Teamviewer if you don't have someone in the office to give you the ID and password you can't log in, almost the same for AnyDesk.

Kind regards
