Maintains properties from one document to another

I often work on Solidworks 2011 and sometimes realize that I have to go back to the option command

property of the document , units to recalibrate my choices ,

Either the decimals are lost,  or the unit system is no longer selected, well I reinform the system and am quiet for a good while.

On the other hand, in customer service lately I am working on the version 13 of the client, now it's a hassle, at each drawing I am forced to go back to the system options etc.. and re-educating the system

I guess it's not normal, how to control the memorization of choices?

Thanks in advance

Hello

Everything in Document Property in the options is specific to the document.

If you want these settings to be kept for your new documents, you need to do:

File, New, Drawing.

If it asks you to choose a basemap, you cancel.

Then you settle your options.

Then you save as: *drwdot

You overwrite your old document template.

Now you'll keep your options for each new drawing.

You can also apply this to parts and assemblies

Have a nice day

Hello

As you say, it's a property of the document. The template is set differently on your 2013 version. Fixes the template file first.
