Updating Custom Properties in Drawings

Hello

I would like to update the custom properties of manufacturing drawings that are linked to a manufacturing folder. (manufacturing number, customer reference, etc.).

- Is there an Excel sheet or a macro for this?

- Is it possible to fill in this file before doing the pack and go and doing the update automatically

Thank you in advance.

Since you have access to the Mycadtolols tool (as a myCadservices subscriber), I suggest you make a batchproperties in order to change the properties of your MEPs after the PackandGO or else you go through ProjectManager to copy and modify the properties at the same time. So no need for macro, it's easier for you.

Thank you for your answer.

But we don't have Mycadtools, would there be another way?

Thanks in advance

I see in your profile that you are a MyCadservice customer, which gives you the right if I'm not mistaken, to download the MycadTools for free:

To download it:

Otherwise there are utilities or macros to modify properties in bulk but nothing as safe and easy as myCadtools developed by a solidworks partner

Otherwise I found other alternatives but not sure if it's free now (in the 1st  version on xsarial there was a free version)

Last solution: go through a macro.

Several other tracks but more complicated in my opinion than the 1st one proposed.

Even if you don't have access to Mycadtools, you can use it in a trial version and find out about it on the spot, for us the choice was quick given the time saved with the utilities offered.

Edit: also look at this site:

Then in SolidworksTools

You will find this PropertyExtractor.exe file and Propertywiper which may also do the job (not tried)
