Cuff in solidworks routing

Hello

I go through the forum, because I can't find an answer elsewhere. What is the purpose of the cuff function in solidworks? How do you use it?

Thank you for your feedback.

Hello

We can already have an idea with the help section:

http://help.solidworks.com/2014/french/SolidWorks/sldpiping/t_defining_spools.htm

Otherwise, see this tutorial:

Thank you Pl for the links.

That doesn't really answer my question.

Hello

It is when in a piping line you want to specify the different manufacturing areas of a piping line.

For example: I have a line of piping with a tube on the left,  a T, a tube then oucde then tube on the right, a tube at the top of the t:

-I create a machete of the tube on the right plus the elbow plus the T, then a cuff of the tube starting from the T upwards with its suite, then a cuff of the tube on the left with its suite....

So I can make fab drawings of each cuff and then a montage plan of these different cuffs.

I hope I have been clear.

Thank you coyote for this very clear answer.

This allows you to split your pipes to make detailed plans. I think it's a feature I'm going to like. I have to test it now!
