User Manual CHM format

Hello

I have downloaded several Axemble utility manuals in "CHM" format.

They are stored in a network directory.
When I open these files, they are empty. (see photo 1)

If I copy the CHM files locally, I read the CHM files correctly.

Is there a trick to read these files correctly from a network directory?

Hello

I have the same problem, see this link:

http://www.helpscribble.com/chmnetwork.html

I haven't tested, I usually copy them locally!

Hello

Files must be saved locally, otherwise the content of the pages is empty.

Kind regards

So if the file is not local there is unfortunately no trick, to my knowledge, to read the CHMs correctly.

Just to know, if you make a shortcut of the file in a local file on a computer and you paste it on the desktop for example of another computer, does it work??

@jmsavoyat : the link I gave says the opposite (but I haven't tested):

"Microsoft recently released a security patch that makes it impossible to view CHM files that are stored on a network drive"
