Good evening
Solidworks 2020. Is it possible to assign 2 materials for 2 separate sketches of the same model?
I've modeled a bearing, I've assigned the steel, but I also have the seal that I want to assign rubber to.
I don't have to create an assembly to create a single object composed of several elements though, do I?
Thank you.

No, you just have to model in multibody
It allows you to assign one material per body

Hello
Just don't fuse the bodies, and then you can apply any type of material to the extrusion you want.

Hello
It is possible to assign a material to non-merged volume bodies in a part file.
In the example below I have two bodies
I fill in the material by body
Right-click on body

Uh, so thank you but now it's completely buggy... The material assigned to the body is no longer editable, or even erasable, and for the bodies I add (by a random method) I cannot assign material... great nonsense.

Well, all I had to do was post that it's buggy for it to get debugged:D Miraculous this forum!
Thank you!
