Hello
Well the title is not great but you will understand.
I have a part that I got from thingiverse in stl format that I would like to modify.
However, this piece has been badly placed, its axis is not horizontal or vertical according to what is asked of it.
I'm attaching the file, I'm under SW 2013.

Hello
To move your body you just have to press insert==>function==>move/copy. See screen

Here's a screen with the rotation, you just have to measure the angular difference and then rotate your part to put it parallel to the plane.

or else you select the face and you do display==>edit==>orientation and there you will create a new view that you can use in the MEPs
But personally I prefer to move it because after no need to modify the view in the MEP and simpler to place it in an assembly...

Hello
A small additional clarification, the copy/move bodies function can also allow you to move a body according to constraints (as in an assembly).

Maybe we could have changed the basic plan as well.
