CUTTING PATTERN PLAT_SURFACE CYLINDRIQUE_CREATION

Hi all

I come to you, because I can't find a solution to my problem despite various tries.

In concrete terms, it is a thick fabric that is cut flat as best as possible to enclose a work tool for the purpose of depositing product on a surface.

I would like, with the help of the function of the solidworks software, to succeed in flattening this shape like a sheet metal piece in order to create a flat plane that would serve as a fabric cutting pattern.

I don't mind creating 2 cutouts (in the corners) to make the flattening successful.

But I didn't succeed.

Do you have a solution to my problem?

My SOLIDWORKS file is attached if you ever want to try something.

Thank you in advance and have a good day,

Hello

Doing this in one piece doesn't seem realistic to me. I would build this with the sheet metal module. Stitching along the entire length of the circular edge and one of the perpendicular edges.

Tensions will be balanced

Hello

Attached, a proposed solution based on a sheet metal part, with two seams, in the 2020 version.

The same once unfolded.

Have a nice day.

I saw the thing as the solution proposed by Mr. Bishop.

Kind regards

Hello

Look at my tutorial which will surely be useful to you because this function is dedicated to flattening textiles
