Stripping with sketch

Hello

Would it be possible to set up an assembly (sketch + 3D part) so that when I add my 3D part, it will duplicate itself and automatically position itself on the defined points?

I'm familiar with the sketch-driven repeat feature, but is there a way to automate this process as soon as the 3D part is selected?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Kind regards

Hello;
Technically it is possible to position a component on a predefined position, either with the constraint references, or by using this component as a " Library Function" (which is roughly the same thing). On the other hand, for the automation of the repetition, I dry.

Hello

What you need is to save an assembly model containing a virtual part, the sketch, and the repeat.
So, when creating from this template, just replace the virtual component with the required component, the repetition updates and that's it...

But no.

If you are using SW PDM, however, this principle is possible because a pdm model uses an assembly file with the .sldasm extension, not .asmdot.
