Part Drawing

Hello

I'm starting out on Solidworks and I'm running into a simple problem.

I assemble 2 parts in an assembly, I can do the drawing of my assembly, but how do I get it to take out, from this assembly, all the isolated parts in a drawing.

Thank you for your feedback

In automatic, I can only see a macro but, a priori, that's not what you're trying to do.

So you have to do it by hand, creating a plan from each piece.

Hello

If I understand correctly, you want to do 3 MEPs?

Including one for assembly and 2 others for !! parts

So no problem to make these MEPs.

So with your assembly, click on new drawing and you make your plan, for the parts you do the same, you open your part and click on new drawing and that's it, nothing could be simpler.

Be careful, it is preferable that each part and assembly is the same name, (a part *.sldprt= *.slddrw) and so on.

Kind regards.

OK thank you for your feedback,

It seemed to me that there could be a more automated method, in the case of an assembly with a lot of parts it can quickly become tedious then.

Hello

Indeed, you can get away with using a macro-function, but it may take you a little time to set it  up!

You can also consult the myCADtools suite of tools, whose SmartDrawings tool perfectly answers your problem (and much more!). You can test the tools for free if you want.

On your homepage you have a "MYCADTOOLS (Discover)" section for more information.

You can also consult the online help of the tools (without installation!)  to give you an idea of how all these tools can help you.

Good luck

Kind regards

OK thanks for the info,

I had seen that, but it is an option that the company did not take

Too bad! ;-)

Hello

The only way then is to do it manually.
