Drawing a part of a part

Hello

I have a problem, I'm replacing a cartoonist who was more than 20 years old in the company. Anyway, I have to modify dimensions on a part he had already done, who says change of side says new drawing because there was a lot of modification so the old layout had become a big mess so I made a new one. The problem is that this former person was making assemblies without creating an assembly from different parts files. That is to say basically that its assembly is a single .sldprt file. In his own drawing, he managed to put on a sheet of paper only one part of this part (an IPN beam) without hiding anything in the tree, without creating a configuration without anything. And I have to do the same but now I'm blocked.

There's little chance that you'll understand what I'm asking but you never know ahaha.

Thank you for your help;

Kind regards

Wouldn't he have hidden the parts via right-click --> properties --> hide/show the bodies?

No I've already looked, it hides absolutely nothing, there is no configuration, no part to go...

Isn't there a way where you select the desired bodies and then make a drawing of them ?

Hello

You select your view on your map and then you click on the "Body Selection" button... " and there you can select the body to display in your view. To display them all, you must select them all.

Kind regards

I think he must have proceeded like the MEPs of welded construction. When you drag the piece into the MEP  you should have "select body" on the top left and then you choose and voila.

Bingo d.roger !! Thank you very much! That's exactly it! A huge time saver compared to hiding the components!

Just the body selection is not available from what I've seen when it's an assembly. But for the parts it works.

A thank you also to the others for trying to enlighten me.

Good luck to all in your work.
