Drawing

Hello

I have an assembly with different parts, some of which are virtual parts, the parts that we design according to the assembly.

I would like to put them in a plan but I can't select only this part knowing that the part is internal to the assembly, right?

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance

Hello

This will only be possible by using the select bodies function:

http://help.solidworks.com/2013/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_DVE_NAMED_VIEW.htm

It is thus possible to draw the assembly by selecting only the body of the part internal to it.

Hello

A part drawing can only be done on a "real" part and not a virtual one.

If you don't want to save your part in real life, make a drawing of your assembly by hiding all the other parts.

Benoit. If your method works but there is not a shorter hub because if it is a big assembly it will be long

The method I proposed is probably shorter!

But the purpose of the internal parts is precisely not to have a file, so no drawing either!

Otherwise, they must be converted into real SolidWorks files:

Hello

In the Creation Tree, right-click on the part in question.

Select "save room"

Save it, and make your usual drawing.

yes but I don't want to record the piece

Quick question: if I save the part somewhere if I modify the part in my assembly is that the part will be modified too?

Yes, if the part is registered, it no longer becomes internal to the assembly.

If it is removed from the hard disk, it disappears from the assembly.

Has your question been answered?

If so, please close it. If not, tell us what you're missing.

Have a nice day
