STAMPED PART MODELING

Hi all

I have to model the stamped sheet metal part in the attached photos.

This is a cup for clamping a compression spring with close ends/ground.

It has an indexing lug for the correct positioning of the cup on the spring.

I have modeled a large part, but I am encountering a difficulty (Pb smoothing attached) in the smoothing between the upper and lower part.

I can't model according to the model at the fillet between the smoothing and the rest of the part. I can only have a maximum leave of 4mm and the leave at the bottom part is not done as it should be (sharp edges).

Do you have solutions for this problem and/or do you have another way to model this part?

Hello @m.legras,
I looked at the pictures of the real part, and the impression I have that the 4mm fillet that is causing you problems needs to have a variable radius because the diameter of the flat area seems constant.
I quickly tried to make a variable leave but it doesn't work, I think it should also be done during your sweep.
